I’m trying to “wrap” my head around this idea.

A client needs an end graphics showing stills falling and wrapping around a sphere (earth), I thought of a few ways, but I have a limited amount of nights available 🙂

    Any good ideas ?

    Thanks Dave,

I’ve been looking at Boris for a while, I’ll try it out first.

I guess I was hoping someone would have a trick up their sleeve, something like card dance with an expression…

    Dave,

Thanks for the Boris tip, I was able to tie all the layers together with a parented expression in the spin setting and it looks great !

Coffee? Pfaff. So much brown water.
No, my expertise and passion lies in espresso.

A shot of espresso has about half the caffeine content of standard office swill.

    Hi Vince,

I am trying to create a spinning globe where as the globe spins the customers locations for installations light up, I came across your post with Boris Sphere, sounds like you figured something out. I was going to import the spinning globe/sphere from 3DS Max, map a layer for the globe, and a layer for white stars (transparent), then use a ray plugin that moves with the camera to create rays of the stars, similar to the Universal Logo at Youtube /watch?v=IaKpzB1XAkM

Did you create your sphere in AE? Any pointers you can share on your success?

Any help would be much appreciated!!
