Wrangling a beach scene
Hello Forum,
I have a dreaded beach scene to record next weekend. I know these can be the mother of all sound troubles. I think it will consist of a wide two shot, actors walking near wet sand, and then a few close-ups
after they stop to talk. I’m going to try to get them to cheat the close ups far away from the water. Still, I’m uneasy about how to go about this. Anyone cutting from lavs to a boom with any success? Should I just use the lavs the whole time and forget the boom? The little tests I’ve done with the gun have that wall of white noise. What have you guys done before?Thank you
