Wouldn’t it be time to change the name of the forum ?

I think that this forum’s signal is that forum’s noise, and vice versa — hence the separation. Although I understand your point about the name, I fear the valuable, interesting conversations here (where on-topic posts have really become off-topic) just wouldn’t come up in a general FCPX forum.

The thing is I think that for most people the debate really is over and now the forum is populated by posts from people just…well…using the software and discussing it. So maybe it’s not the posts that are off-topic…maybe it’s the title that’s off topic.

I could easily see a forum called simply FCPX with “Apple FCPX or Not: The Debate” being a single thread on that forum. The signal to noise ratio would be much better for those who wanted to continue debating. That seems to make more sense than a whole forum at this point. Just my 2cents.
