Worx4 X – a way to trim Project media

April 22, 2017 at 9:08 pmIs this any different than ClipExporter 2? That’s what I use for this purpose. And the non-MAS version can handle MXF files.
EDIT: Nevermind, now I see it creates an XML file to reimport to FCP X, which ClipExporter doesn’t.

Especially since they used to be able to do that with FCP7.

I was talking about Marquis Broadcast (the developer) being able to trim audio media (including mp3 by converting to PCM) with X2Pro. Eventually, I hope, they can apply this to Worx. Unifying a trimmed version to one codec would be excellent for my needs.
As far as FCP7, Quicktime was a beast, and still hasn’t been fully replaced. My guess is that MXF files can’t be written correctly, or maybe Marquis just isn’t there yet. It’s not an easy task.
