    Hello guys,

I would love some help with this, I am wanting to start of with a flat world map, then spherise it into a globe. CC Sphere cannot do this AFAIK, it is either a sphere or not, but no way to animate the spherising…

Anyone know how to do this, or if there are any plugins you know of that can do it?

    Thanks,
    Mark.

Coincidentally I tried to do exactly this just last week. I gave up and eventually used Maya instead, with a bend deformer for each x and y axis.

Probably the most unhelpful post ever.

    Sorry.

This tutorial [link] using Zaxwerks 3d warp plugin may help.

    Thanks Paul, Dave and Michael,

I will try the Zaxwerks first as it seems to be free… will try tomorrow morning. As far as I know the Boris is only available in a whole suite of Boris plugins, so a bit pricey for the one trick I need… but will bear it in mind.

Cheers guys, may post success story later in the week!

    Mark
