    Hi Folks,

I have a client who has done some limited editing of a project in the Sony Movie Studio software and the commands are in a file named a .vf file.

I can not get that file to open up in my Sony Vegas Pro 8. Any method of conversion to make that work?

I’ve seen some discussions in the threads on the forums indicating this is possible, but I can’t seem to find how.

Thank you for any help and direction.

    Best to you,
    Mark

Mark, odds are that your client has a newer version of Movie Studio than you do of Vegas Pro.

You have a few choices, most of which are free.
Have your client render out what they’ve done so far in whatever format the source material is, and give it to you for further work.

Install their copy of Movie Studio on your machine (yes, as long as it gets registered, this is perfectly legal), open their project and do a copy/paste into a new Pro 8 project.

    Upgrade to Pro 10 ($$).
