Working with HDV / IMX / Dv and outputting it
Hi there,
I’m working on a project witch uses HDV, DV, IMX 625/50 footage and converted Mpeg’s (PAL).Now I have a problem with Upper & Lower fields. (Shift Fields?)
I also have to go to a SD output.(downconvert HDV?)
What will be the best way to setup my sequence as most of all footage is in HDV?I can’t do a rebatch, because all the footage is in the UK.

I think that if you will end up SD is better go SD from the beginning.
Open a ProRess 720 x 576 sequence (Anamorphic or not, up to you).
Set it Upper-first. The Lower-first footage that you set in the sequence will get the shift-fields filter.
You shouldn’t have any problem.
Which is supposed to be the delivery format?

Hi Rafael,
thanks for fast support, that will do it.Video Output will probably be DigiBeta, or export to Qtime.
The Qtime will then be imported in an Avid. This is all because the audio goes to Protools via OMF, and in the end the bounce must be done.

Then you know: 720 x 576 UPPER FIRST. !0b Unc or ProRess.
