I am sorry if this question has already been asked. I searched the forums and could not find an answer. I am working with 720P HD footage shot from the HVX-200. I am trying to send a file to someone who will be completing post (mostly keying, effects, etc).

The footage is all shot in front of a greenscreen in 4:2:2. Obviously we want to keep the best quality possible for keying, effects, etc.

Coupla questions. I am trying to keep the file size down as much as possible without loosing quality. What is the best way to export. What if I export using the same compressor we shot in (DVCPRO HD 720P) I am guessing we will loose quality. Alot?

I have been exporting Uncompressed 8bit 4:2:2 and the file sizes are just too big to deliver.

Basically what is the best way to export without loosing quality (or not TOO much:) while keeping file sizes down.

Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any/all help in this matter.

None, in fact. If you mark IN and OUT, and export a QUICKTIME MOVIE (not Quicktime Compression), and make the movie self contained, it will basically copy the information and create a new clip that exactly matches the original in quality. No loss.
