    Hey crew
I’m working on a shoot starting tomorrow with the Panasonic AG-HPX170 P2HD Solid-State Camcorder. I have a few questions .

    1. What’s up with these E-serise cards? I’ve got two in my camera and I’ve been reading on creative cow that people are having problems with them. I’m running snow Leopard and FCP 6.0.6. Should I be worried?
    What should I do ?

    2. I have a AJ-PCD2GPJ Single-Slot P2 card reader do we need to install adriver for this with the above described operating system ?

    3. If I shoot in 25pn ( never shot in european formats before! nervous ) I shouldn’t have any synch issuse with external tracks give by our sound man correct? we are using a good old fashion clap board and planing to sync in FCP. but it should be the same with sync and sound as working in 24pn correct?

I am shooting in the Netherlands tomorrow at 2pm so if any of you can hit me back ASAP, I’ll owe you a beer.
    best

You should be worried if you have not updated the firmware on the camera. If your camera has the latest firmware update, then you will not have problems.

The HPX-170 does NOT shoot in PAL format (25/50). Only 60, 30, 24.

Card reader is fine. If you have installed the software for the reader, you are good to go.

Stay away from the “weed” in Amsterdam!
