    Yes, you can use ripping software such as the Imtoo DVD ripper.
    Depending on the codecs installed you can even rip to avi or quicktime.

    This software only works on Wintel systems if my brain doesn’t fail me.

    Depending on how frequently you plan on doing such a conversion, I would reccomend taking a look at MainConcept’s MPEG Pro plugin.
