  Working with dates in Illustrator charts?

  Hi,

  What’s the best way to build a line graph using dates as the horizontal axis?

  The data is formatted like this:

  date value
  08/31/01 5,769,875,781,034.48
  4/9/01 5,761,532,655,812.62
  5/9/01 5,769,122,055,290.29
  6/9/01 5,774,086,630,858.16
  7/9/01 5,772,587,811,775.31
  10/9/01 5,773,172,068,291.89
  12/9/01 5,776,301,150,520.56

  i.e. values are not always equally spaced in time. Does Illustrator understand the concept of dates as values, or do I need to find a way to convert them into individual integers?
