  • Working with cameras and 3D layers – Flickering on camera movement

    Hello everyone,

I’m creating a composition featuring all 3d layers and camera movement. I’m getting a weird flicker as I zoom and move the camera around, it mainly occurs while zooming out. I’m using the 50mm preset camera with a null object attached to it. The null object is my “camera mover” Attached is a quick render of the problem. Does anyone have any insight on this? Thanks.

    embed src=”9839_flickerrender.mp4.zip” width=”160″ height=”151″ type=”video/quicktime” controller=”true” autoplay=”true” hspace=”10″ vspace=”10″ cache=”true” loop=”true”

Adding to this, it seems to only happen when I am “zooming out” the camera.

Ok I actually found a solution, simple really. I had every layer on a flat z space in 3D. Layers would hide behind the background I had when zooming out. I put the background layer further back and the issue was solved.
