  Workflow? AVID – Sorenson – Encore. Overwhelmed!

  I am trying to import and compress a Quicktime reference from AVID in Sorenson that is about 1.5 hours long. I need to export to a format for importing into Encore (MPEG-4?). Unfortunatley I am completely unfamiliar with Sorenson and Encore and don’t know which of the “intelligent presets” to use. I picked one at random, but “Sorenson encountered a problem and needs to close”. I also cannot export from AVID as a raw format, because after about five minutes (no matter the total length of film) “maximum allowable size is reached”. Is there any basic way to talk between the programs? Any step by step solution? What is an ideal workflow? Any help is appreciated!
