    Hey everyone,
I’ve having an issue with going from PP CS6 to Resolve 9 with Red footage. As a test I cut a real simple timeline in premiere with just a single clip that I cut in half.

I then saved the file as an . AAF and selected “save as legacy”

I opened Resolve and imported the .aaf file. Immediately it warns me that files are missing and if I would like to search for them. So I do and go directly to where that 1 and only file is located and clear the message.

When I’m in the conform tab I can see the clip that was in my premiere timeline and I can see the cut i made. However, the first half of the cut is there yet the second half is offline.

I in fact have have this problem with every .aaf file I’ve imported.

I was told that .aaf was the way to go with going from premiere to resolve? Should I try other formats?

    Thanks!

If you don’t have speed ramps, try a simple EDL.
Import the source footage into Resolve, then import the EDL, and they will find each other hopefully
