  • Workflow to create sequence with mixed formats/resolutions for showreel?

    Hello

I am currently trying to put together a showreel of my documentary work. I have about 12 pieces with different resolutions, frame rates, avi mov and standards. I am listing them below

    NTSC – 1920×1080 – 23.98fps
    PAL – 720×576 -25fps
    PAL – 960X540 – 25fps
720×576 – 29.97 fps ( im not sure if this is PAL or NTSC, frame rate tells me one thing and resolution another? )

I am working in FCP7 and normally use mpeg streamclip to convert clips. (cant spend any money on posthouse)

I plan to put the showreel online.

I dont know what i should be converting to what in order to achieve the best possible quality. Any advice and direction will be greatly appreciated.

Also, Is it possible to export a sequence from fcp with different resolutions?

From my limited experience my understanding is that all clips need to be in the same format when they are imported for editing so what should my workflow be?

This is my first post and this forum along with others like this are a great help.

    Thanks!
