  Workflow Questin – What order to process

  I am making a video short from an interlaced DV source. My output will be widescreen. I will look at plugins and other solutions for deinterlacing, conversion to 24p and video treatments.

  The video will have multiple clips playing simultaneously often, but in some cases there will be a single image as well and I realize that I will need to upsize the video and lose some of the top and bottom.

  But I’m concerned about the order of my process.

  Let’s say that I have all my clips selected.

  Is the order of events:

  – Deinterlace
  – Convert to 24p
  – Treat the video (Magic Bullet)
  – Resize as needed.
  – Apply effects.
  – Composite the clips
  – Output

  That seems like the logical order to me, but I have not done this before. I am looking for some input prior to dedicating considerable render time for trials.
