  Workflow Optimization in Premiere Pro 2025

  Hi everyone,

  I’ve been working on a few commercial and short-form documentary projects this year and have noticed how much the Premiere Pro 2025 updates have improved stability and playback — especially with native formats and multicam workflows.

  I’m currently experimenting with:

  • GPU-accelerated effects for faster rendering

  • New AI-powered transcription and captioning tools

  • Proxies for 6K/8K timelines without round-tripping to other software

  That said, I’m still trying to refine my timeline organization and long-form project structure, particularly when dealing with multiple editors and remote collaboration.

  Interestingly, while taking breaks, I’ve been playing a Balatro game and it made me think about how editing can sometimes feel the same: stacking effects, making strategic cuts, and planning each move with precision. It’s a fun reminder of how creativity and logic come together in both games and post-production.
