This is my workflow, if anyone knows/uses more efficient one, please chime in

    PC, Windows 7, Premiere CS5.5, Resolve 10, Lumix GH2

    – Import footage to disk
    – transcode with 5D2RGB to ProRes 422 HQ 709 Broadcast Range MOV
    – Edit the entire footage in Premiere, with audio
    – Add effects / titles via dynamic link
    – Export the video-only footage for grading – Animation codec MOV
    – Grade in Resolve
    – Export from Resolve to QuickTime MPEG4 MOV
    – Adjust the graded footage in Premiere, export with audio to h264

I’m sure that my workflow is wrong, mainly because of these conversions to MOV…so with my current setup, what would be the most efficient lossless way to make the footage roundtrip Premiere > Resolve > Premiere

Also, how do I set the color/gamma settings in Premiere, since GH2 footage is 709 I would like to make sure that Premiere shows and uses that range, and Resolve also.

    Thanks

Man, 2 much compression going on.

    Raw file to:

    Prores

    to animation

    to final file.

Skip the 2 steps in the middle. Premiere is built to edit the GH2 media raw.

I tried to export MTS file from Premiere to DNxHD file and Resolve won’t read it.
