    Hallo Everybody,

I have – for the first time – some GoPro HD Footage and would like to convert the MP4 to – I guess, the best, Apple ProRes Files (HQ might not be necessary, seen the GoPro Quality).
It is about 60 clips that are to be converted. Any idea, for a fast workflow in AE, or is it better to put them all in one timeline in FCP and render them out as one long Movie file, chopping it in pieces again.

Thanx for any ideas & suggestions to make this mind numbing work easier & faster.

    Greetings,

    Sascha

Why not just import them directly?

Cause all my other footage is in ProRes and MP4 is a nice compressed codec, but terrible to edit and work with.

If you have access to Compressor use it to transcode the clips in a batch.

How good is Compressor in this? Lately I read a lot about the fact that Compressor sucks, compared to Apps like Episode?
