HELP! MPEG Streamclip won’t touch it, Final Cut Pro 7 won’t think about it… how can I convert my Panasonic GH4-created 96fps mp4 files to work within the FCP7 environment? Thank you all so much for any insights you can provide!

    Sincerely,
    C.J. Johnson

Hmm- as FCP7 hasn’t been developed in several years now you’ll never get native editing in there. My suggestion would be to at least purchase the current version of Compressor which might be able to open the MP4 files and at least get them into ProRes QuickTimes you could open in 7. That or maybe it’s finally time to try FCPX which has full native 4K support for the GH4 files right out of the box. (and could be used also as a converter if you’re still wanting to stay on 7).
