workflow for Canon EOS 550D/T2i FCP
Hey all,
just purchased a new Canon EOS 550D as its called here in Aus, called a Rebel T2i Stateside.
Wondering if the new canon plugin for FCP will work for transcoding to Apple ProRes with the 550D?
i assume this is the best workflow when using capture transfer but i dont know as im only really experienced in tape stuff where every thing is captured in real time…..
can some one please explain from experience what they think the best workflow for FCP, then onto color for the Canon EOS 550D / T2i is.

If you have FCP and Compressor, I just transfer files and then run them through Compressor, converting to Prores. It can take a while, but the final is gorgeous.

what about the text file?

Hi there, the text files are just metadata. You can read these files with an EXIF viewer. They are not needed to transcode.
