    Hi–

I’m mastering some TV spots today for delivery via DG Fastchannel (no tape involved). Spots were shot on Sony EX1, masters are 1080 23.98p QuickTime files.

Deliverables needed: 1080i, 720p, and regular 720×486 broadcast.

I made the 1080i master by adding pulldown in After Effects, and did a similar process on the SD deliverable. Does anyone know how to make the 720p master? I’m wondering what the best way is to get from 1080 24p to 720 P, which I think is at 59.94.

    Thanks for your help!

Drop your final 1080 file into a 720p timeline in FCP. Render. Done.

what happens with 24fps in a 60fps world is simply frame duplication. Luckily 60fps rolls by fast enough that you don’t perceive any chatter (much like 3:2 does for NTSC)

Thank you for the prompt help! Just to clarify, that would be a 720p timeline at 59.94 fps, correct?
