    Hi All:
I am currently working on a new project that will incluse Digibeta, DVC-Pro, DVC-Pro H-D. The final product in delivered on DVD and needs to be SD. I have no machines at my home Final Cut Pro system. I was going to go to a local post house to digitize the project. My question
is what is the best work flow for this. What is the best setting for the timeline?

Any thoughts or advise would be great!
    Thanks
    Roy

Assuming you don’t have a bunch of keying…

Since your end product is strictly SD I would go with DVC PRO50 or Apple ProRes.

    FCP Studio 2
    Dual 3Gg Quad Core
    5Gg RAM
    KONA 2
    OS 10.4.11

Since you final destination is SD DVD, I would think that something SD would make sense. You can digitize the DVCPROHD material downconverted through either the 1200a or the 1400 over SDI. Again, bring in your SD material over SDI. Now, what codec? The short answer is that it depends. What are your resources? Are you going to online? Do you have a raid? Maybe ProRes(HQ)525 is the best option here. That you can cut off of a firewire drive…maybe the safest suggestion depending on the rest of what you want to do. Good luck.

    Hi All:
Thanks for the suggestions. I will be finishing off the system at home. I will also be working on a 1 terabyte G-Raid firewire drive. There will be a bit of keying, but must will be graphics with built in alpha channels. Final product around 12 minutes.
