Workflow and Sequence settings: Pro Res HQ >1080p Export
Hi,
I am working on a short film in Premiere and trying to determine proper sequence settings for a 1080p export to be used for an online submission to Sundance Film Festival. I am shooting with a Sony A7RIII (S-log3, S-Gamut3.Cine, saturation +3, detail -7, auto knee) recorded on an Atomos Ninja Flame in Pro Res HQ and I also have 120fps 1080p 100M XAVC.MP4 clips from the Sony. fyi There are several high dynamic range scenes in my clips with landscape sunsetting scenes etc.
I would like to know if I should use “composite in linear color” and how this will affect my project. my intention is to assemble clips then color grade in davinci resolve. I would also like to know if it makes sense for me to edit native Pro Res HQ without creating proxy files for my system.
Do i have it right? Any insight is greatly appreciated, i apologize if anything is unclear here.
