    Hi

Would be great to get some advice on a workflow for me and my editor.

We’re making a ten minute short, shot on 35mm. After processing we will be cutting from DVcam tapes that correspond to lab rolls, once we lock picture we are going to conform and grade by scanning the neg elements in 2k then master to HDCam Sr and spit out a negative.

Is there anything we need to take into consideration when going this way while cutting on Media Composer? I’m assuming we just take the EDL with us to the Scan right?

    THanks

Bascially a good EDL, Avid FilmScribe can generate a pull list/scan list directly that can be handed over to a facility. Are you editing native 23.976/24 or at NTSC/PAL rates?

    Hi

We’re in the UK so I assume it’ll be 25fps, can you go into more detail regarding pull down etc please?

    thanks

If in 24/25 there is no need to track pulldown rates as that is a 24/30 issue. Just make sure you are tracking the 24fps correctly in the SD project via the TC24 column.
