Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro workflow

I’m somewhat new to Premiere and I want to make sure I am doing things in the most efficient manner. I have hours and hours of 4k AVHC media on an external array, but it is not fast enough for editing. I can move the original files over to a high-speed EditShare system, but it will basically fill it up. I can transcode the originals to a smaller proxy and move the transcodes to the highspeed drives, but how will I reconnect when I am ready to online? The asset storage system we have gives the files different names at the folder level on the drives so I can’t reconnect by file name. I think this also limits my use of Premiere’s proxy workflow? What would be the best workflow for this?

That needs a lot of CPU power to decode. Media speed is probably not the bottleneck here.
