  workflow 30p m2t to avi to MPEG

  using Vegas to edit m2t files shot on JVCHD-250 and stored on a Focus Enhancements HD100.

  Is it best to edit with the project set to match the HDV 30P settings?

  When I render a widescreen DVCAM avi and MPEG 2 what do I need to keep in mind to make the broadcast footage and DVDs most compatible?

  Is it best to put a widescreen and 4:3 version on the same DVD?

  Any direction would be appreciated.

  My questions are spurred by a loss in sharpness of 30P footage after rendering to MPEG2 and burning to DVD.
