Work flow for large media library
Hi folks, thanks for participating in this thread.
I’m trying to figure out the workflow for building a large media library. Can I ingest my clips in Prelude, use subclips to define shot contents (i.e. Woman, iPad, Wide, Exterior), save the quicktimes then open the quicktimes in Premier Pro and search for shots. I would love to be able to search Premier Pro for ‘iPad’ and get a bin/folder of subclips with all the shots with ‘iPad’ defined in the meta data?
Is this the way Prelude works?

You would definitely use Prelude for all the organization although you might need something more along the lines of Axle or CatDV depending on how large the library is going to be.
The idea is that you search for the items via the DAM and not Premiere. Then you create a bin of clips that goes into Premiere.
