RAM preview? As described in the Help?

as NOT described in the Help… or maybe my help is missing some articles.

If I could find it in the help I wouldn’t be posting this question.

Ram preview is in there, but there is nothing about Ram previewing audio and video simultaneously in the WORK AREA ONLY – as defined by the two blue markers.

Many do post here without checking the Help.

Does this help? Open the “use RAM preview” section. You might find “Select From Current Time to play from the current time; otherwise, RAM Preview will play the work area or from the beginning of the composition, layer, or footage item.”

If that doesn’t help, please feel free to post again.

It was the old “from current time” check box.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I had read that before but it din’t sink in properly until I was nudged a little.

No worries. AE’s help is better than most, but some stuff is still buried in there, requiring deeper (yawn) reading sometimes. 🙂
