Words Effect
Posted by Daniel Goldstein on February 23, 2010 at 12:54 pmHi, I think I’m posting in the right forum. I want to know how the effect (floating words) in this video was achieved, and if it was through AE. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrXnDtBdAZs
Thanks,

February 23, 2010 at 3:18 pmYes, it’s all doable in AE.
The swarms of letters are Particles. AE ships with a couple of different particle systems, CC Particle World being quite powerful.
A third party plug-in like the excellent Trapcode Particular may have been used.Other effects in this video are just Text on 3d Motion Paths; I see some Displacement effects and a lot of simple 3d transforms.
Some glows…etc.Gotta love some Hassidic Hip Hop.

February 23, 2010 at 4:41 pmIt was most likely done in AE using a particle generator such as Trapcode Particular or one of AE’s built-in particle generators.

February 23, 2010 at 10:13 pmI don’t think it’s hard, but “hard” is a relative term … it’s not hard to me as someone who has been doing this kind of stuff for about 20 years, but it may be hard if a person doesn’t yet have a firm grasp on video editing and motion graphics.
