Activity Forums Adobe After Effects wmv issue

  • Posted by Jeff Penano on April 20, 2006 at 5:10 pm

I’m trying to import 3 second long .wmv’s into After Effects 6.5 Pro but it seems to cut off the last few frames. Quite frustrating when trying to create looping video clips. Any thoughts on what may be causing this?

    Thanks,
    –Jeff–

Is there any way you can get the original before it was compressed to WMV?

AE doesn’t always like importing highly compressed video files, and there may be a compression keyframe issue or something. Sorry, I can’t offer more.

Unfortunately I’m unable to get to the original.

if you have access to Cleaner on Windows, you could convert the .wmv to an uncompressed Quicktime and then import that into After Effects.

    Good Luck. Frank
