    Hi all.

I have a WMV file created by PhotoStory (a Microsoft product – it creates an animated slide show from photos, with zooms etc, just easier than key framing the 300 photos.). I made the said slide show, and exported it as an 800 x 600 WMV (also did this with a PAL WMV, same result). When I import it into Premier Pro (I have the production studio) it needs to render it to play at full frame rate. When it does play, there are some photos which only appear during the cross fade, and then go to black, until the next photo, which appears as normal. This happens when I have rendered the thing too. I have tried different files (both export and import) but still no luck. Is it me, or Premier?

    Cheers
    Jacob

Premiere handles .wmv files fine, although very slow it import at times. Does Windows Media Player play the video fine?

Check the frame rate of your WMV file. Remember that Premiere usually works in standard frame rates of 24, 29.97, 25. Your WMV source must be lower than your projects’ frame rate.
