wmv from Avid
Cow Wizards,
We have a Mac based Avid. I need to find a way to quickly or in real time, encode to WMV 9 files. I’d prefer not to have to render. Also, if there is a real-time box, I need to be sure the first frame of video out of my Avid playback, is the first frame of the wmv file. I’m matching start frames for a features project to view online dailies.
Does this make sense?

Don’t do it out of the Avid. You’ll get much better results using Sorenson Squeeze and you’ll be able to keep editing as they encode. Just export reference files and import em into sorenson. The first frame you export will be the first frame encoded.
