  WMV file only opens as WMA

  Help!
  I have a file that was FTP’d to me and it shows as a Window media video and will play as one in the windows viewer, but in VEGAS it is seen as a WMA file and shows on the line as 2 channels of stereo audio-no video. I checked my set-up- I think, Other files with the same .wmv play and view fine in the same project.
  Ideas?
  any help is most appreciated
