WMV Exports, Audio Issue
Hi all,
I am having an issue exporting windows media files from FCP and Compressor. This is something that I do on a regular basis with no problems.
To start, I am using the latest Flip4Mac (Studio Pro HD).
My timeline layout is as follows:
3 sec Black, 30 Bars & Tone, 10 Slate and then the 30 spot.
After I select my I & O (30 spot) I go through the normal export with QT conversion and adjust the settings accordingly (in this case a preset). However when the compression is complete the file size is larger than normal and the audio starts from the beginning of the timeline. So I hear the 3 black then 27 of tone. Very Strange! This is only happening with Windows Media Files. QTs export fine.
Anyone else had this issue?

There are issues with audio sync and Flip4Mac. Apparently only in Quicktime replay on a Mac though.
Try exporting the sequence as a self contained Quicktime movie and then using Compressor to convert that version. I’ve had a similar problem to yours at the end of a sequence when going to Compressor direct from FCP which was resolved this way.

Thanks, I did discover that work around. It is just strange that I had not had this problem at all in the past. I have exported hundreds of .wmvs directly from FCP and Compressor with no issues. Today it seems as if it just decided to stop working. Hopefully when I get to the office tomorrow, it will have resolved itself.
I did try un-installing and re-installing flip4mac, trashing the FCP prefs, and rebooting.

I reverted to an earlier version and am now working again.
