wireless -> wired networking
I want to have both wireless and wired connectivity for my laptop. I run a mixed Windows XP/Mac OS (Snow Leopard) network.
I generally use my MacBook via a wireless connection in my office. I also have CAT5 cable and wired ports available.
When I need to transfer large files, I would rather just hook into the physical CAT5 network, for its greater speed. At the same time, I don’t want to go through the hassle of reconfiguring the wireless connection that the laptop uses most often.
What is the easiest way to go quickly from wireless to wired to wireless on the laptop?

what happens when you just turn airport on/off from menu bar?
