Wireless mics on a budget
I am planning to do web casts using a wireless lav. I hope to spend about $200. I will also get a mic to USB adapter. I am comparing the Samson UM1, Azden WMS Pro, and the Oklahoma Sound WM-190TC. Any opinions on the pros and cons?

The general consensus that I have seen (and from personal experience) is that anything that costs less than $450-500 is an unreilable, cheap, fiddly, plastic toy and a waste of money. That is not to say that you might get lucky, but it might be a better use of your budget to travel to Las Vegas and play the slots. Maybe you can win enough to buy something decent.
The lowest-cost, generally-accepted minimum standard is the Sennheiser G3 series.

I want a Jaguar XKE (green) in A+ condition but I only want to pay $2500, so you and I have a lot in common.
You can’t buy budget gear without expecting budget audio.
Richard is spot on about G3. The Audio Technica 1800 series has a single transmitter/receiver I think. Check that out.
