I have a Sony VX2100, Sennheiser G2 wireless mic system and a BeachTek DXA-4. There is only 1 imput 1/8″ for a mic on the camera and I would like to have 2 sources of audio. The wireless and the camera for ambient sound on 2 different tracks. Is this possible and how is it done. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I wasn’t sure which forum to post this but figured Audio would be best.

You need to buy another stand-alone microphone and plug it into the 2nd input on the Beachtek. The 1/8″ mic input plug on the camera is “stereo” (or 2-channel) and the Beachtek should handle two inputs and feed one-each to the separate camera channels.
You can attach the new mic to the top of the camera, or use it on the tripod, a mic stand or boom.

The current built-in on-camera mic cannot be adapted for this kind of use.
