Wireless audio to Atomos
Hey all,
I’m thinking of a wireless solution that would give me high quality audio on a mobile DSLR rig without needing to sync in post. Microphone(s) plugged into audio mixer. Mixer output wirelessly to Atomos mounted on camera. Atomos would record sound from mixer (1 channel is ok, 2 channels interesting but not necessary) and video from DSLR camera. This would give me a fairly light camera rig, high quality audio, a free roaming audio tech for boom work, and no need for sync in post. I am wondering:
1) what are the pitfalls (degraded sound quality, reliability, etc)?
2) what equipment would work? Primarily the wireless component.
Thanks
