Did an interview with Boom mic (AT897) wired going through XLR to zoomh4n.

While editing I’m hearing faint music in the background. I thought maybe the room had intercom speakers that I didn’t realize were on but my on-camera audio isn’t picking up anything. Can my mic be picking up frequencies? If so how do I keep this from happening again?

You can start by making double-sure that your mic cable is not broken. Do you have the option of going back to the location where the problem happened? Do you have another cable to substitute? Another mic? The usual trouble-shooting rules apply. Substitute pieces and see which one makes a difference, etc.
