    Hello –

    problem:
    – live video feed is 3-4 minutes delayed
    – when it does play it stops every few seconds

    troubleshooting:
    – increased bandwidth – 10-17Mbs upload
    – changed encoding settings – tried H.264 Youtube settings, and Flash High/Medium/Low; also reduced audio and video bitrates for each setting.

    System –
    Mac Pro – 64bit
    Ram – 8Gb
2 Video cards – Blackmagic Intensity pro
2 7200RPM hardrives – one for running the software, one for saving recorded media
2 cameras – Panasonic HMC40s, component signal. (The only video signal Wirecast will recognize from the cameras is 1080i 59.29, so I can’t make any adjustments there because I get a black screen instead of a video feed.)
    Ethernet cable connection

This same system will work fine with the Free Ustream Desktop Producer app, but I do not have all the options as with Wirecast, and I already own Wirecast.

    thanks
    D.

If there’s a delay on the stream that sounds like a server side issue. Otherwise it could be an ISP issue. If you’re trying to push more data than the ISP can handle it’ll buffer and it may even start dropping data. Wirecast encoding couldn’t create that kind of delay though.
