    Wirecast for H.264 encoding in realtime

    I need to encode to H.264 in realtime from an SD video feed through an AJA Kona LHi Video Capture and Playback Card on my MacPro. No streaming, just recording to hard drive.

    Is Wirecast the software to use? I only need the encoding, not all the other features of the software.

    As much as I love Wirecast it wouldn’t be my first choice as a single source encoder.
    Have you found a problem with AJA’s capture software so you’re looking for another means?

    Is there a reason why Blackmagic’s H.264 ProRecorder is out of the question?
