I would highly recommend Vista x64 with 8gb of memory or more, there are clear performance advantages in all applications (Premiere, AE etc..) and vista seems to be really stable after SP1, besides Microsoft is now offering a free upgrade path to 7 for customers purchasing Vista now…

Totaly agree, i have multibridge pro installed on a pc with xp32 and seven64 8hb ram, seven runs rly fast but descktop extended only aviable in xp32. Seven/Vista Rocks with blackmagic hardware.
