  Windows/Mac FinalCutPro Workflow questions

  Hi there,
  Right now I am on PC with Vegas but i want to switch to a mac pipeline or at least the full FCStudio-package while the rest remains on windows.
  I am new to Final Cut Pro and I need to get a pipeline working like this:
  I will mark the positions with numbers ()

  A) First i get capture-files (1) and shall do a rough cut/animatic printed out as a wmv (2)
  B) Then i get 5 layered image-sequences with alpha (1) for compositing, editing, Textoverlay all done in FCP and printed out again as wmv again (2).

  Now I am looking for an easy, fast workflow. So here are several considerations:
  (1) How can i convert a image-sequence,avi or mov file to a native fcp moviefile, that previews on the fly? Automatorscripts, Quicktime by hand, Compressor?
  (2) Is there a wmv solution in the FCP Studio3 package or a optional codecimplementation?

  I think that FCP will be much more useful than vegas provides at the moment, but due to lack of knowledge I cant convince the company to change the pipeline.

  Are there any articles or tutorials that could help me? I am just finding partial information that are not suiting my needs in every aspect.
