I’m currently trying to figure out how to create a streaming encode (vs. a progressive encode). Does anyone know where the options in Sorenson Squeeze 4.0 are to make the encode a streaming one and not a progressive one. I want the video to be capable of random access, eg. fast forward, jump to a certain point, etc. Is the only difference in the encoding between using a constant bit rate (streaming) and variable bit rate (progressive)? I’m sending the files a windows streaming server, so I know I have the remote hardware, I just want to clarify on how to choose between the two (streaming v. progressive). I don’t see any tabs in the encoder settings, and would like some guidance.
