    Media cache wont help.
You need the orininal footage and project.
If you had everything stored in Documents which is default on the C drive then most likely eveything is gone.
Where did you store your backup.

When you do a clean Windows Install you should not do a restore.
That can negate the clean install by putting back old files, drivers, Registry Entries, etc, etc that you don’t want back.
That would mean either backing up everything you need to an external HD or installing the OS on a new boot drive.
The Project may not have been stored in a location that Windows backs up by default.

Wow, no secondary USB, Hard Drive, Dropbox or backup anywhere else.
So starting your project from scratch would be the only way then.

Read My Media Moto below and Apply that to all of your projects as well.
I know you want to cry but really, WOW, no extra backups.

Take a moment to place a value on it and then maybe add two more.

i have 4 externals and saw the projects on the externals in two of them when i backed up, but when i completed the fresh install of windows 7 pro 64 bit they have vanished leaving behind the media cache and all the video files. some other projects are there but not two i flaming need, they must be somewhere.

If you didnt format or Delete partition, your old files might be in windows.Old users documents. If not, time to install easus data recovery.

Top man my friend thank you I just noticed the restore has created two new partitions F and G now when I click on them they show nothing but they have something in them because they are half filled with blue lines. Maybe avrecover program can see what’s in the partitions? Long shot

That’s fantastic, that must be quite a relief.

I do still stand by not doing a restore after a clean OS Install.
I’ve seen this cause far to many problems in the past.
On the plus side, I have been handsomely paid fixing other peoples systems a few times after a restore destroyed there OS.
