Windows 8.1 and MAC OS sharing folder
Hi,
I am not able to connect to MAC shared folder from Windows 8.1. Someone has encountered this issue. please advice.
MAC Shared folder able to connect on Windows 7.

Is this a brand new setup, or was it working before?

This is new setup, earlier I was using windows 7
I even tried to create user wih password on Mac but still not able connect through windows 8.1

I’ve got an 8.1 machine. If no one else answer it, I’ll try connecting through my Mac and back tonight, if possible. Make sure under your firewall settings are set properly.

Where you able to connect Windows 8.1 machine.
For the firewall my settings are correct.

Sorry, I got sidetracked and lost this thread. I was unable to connect via 8.1. The issues with W8.1 connectivity seem unnecessarily complex, and did not accept my Mac’s connections for reasons I’m unclear about . I suspect IPv6. It also works for m on 7, like you. But I have IPv6 turned off on that machine. Very frustrating. It seems as if MSFT is making this unnecessarily complex. I think the easiest thing to do is use Dropbox to simplify this. Or setup the folder as an FTP site.
