Windows 7 ‘Application Error’
Just got new machine running W7 Ultimate. Installed C4D 11.5 and get ‘Application error’ and won’t start.
Anything I need to do to run under W7? BTW it’s same result under both x32 and x64.

i figured it out and it had little to do with Windows 7.
i needed to update my video card [Catalyst ATI]drivers… and everything was fine after that.
hope this post helps someone else avoid similar frustration.

I am actually getting a similar error with an nVidia card. It’s totally hit-or-miss, but I heard a rumor that it may be linked to the latest install of Quicktime. I uninstalled the new version, re-installed the old version, updated my graphics drivers and still nothing. I even swapped out the guts of my desktop (including new motherboard, proc, and Ram), and still nothing….
Anyone else having problems with Win7x64?
