Windows 7
Posted by Alex Udell on October 26, 2009 at 10:20 pmHi All..
Well looks like I have successfully evaded Windows Vista.
As I’m still on CS3….I’m thinkning of moving to the following:
CS4, Windows 7 64 bit, Matrox MXO Mini.
Thoughts?

October 27, 2009 at 12:22 amI’ll let you know that soon. I’ll be upgrading to Home Premium from Vista SP2. (which, by the way, was miles ahead of XP for CS3 and 4.

October 27, 2009 at 3:30 pm1 of our machines is now on Win 7, no problems reported so far.
To be honest, not much difference in performance except for memory.
I did noticed an interesting thing, our UPS is showing power consumption down by 100 watts. I guess it has to do with i7 throttling.
CS3 however was never fully compatible with Vista, so I’m not sure how it will do with Win 7.

October 29, 2009 at 1:44 pmIf there are any problem, see if changing the compatibility setting to a lower operating system (Windows XP) will work.
I was getting some scaling and zooming issues with Photoshop 64bit for windows 7 and I did this (put it on Vista sp2 compatibility) and now it works like a charm.

What if there were no hypothetical questions?
