Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Window Layouts

I have a custom Window Layouts setup and then some other people stored their Layouts.

Mine used to be a hot key of Control Shit 6 or something like that.

Now the saved layouts don’t even show up I have to go to Load Window Layout and then I can call it up.

There are 2 listings for Custom Layout, but they are grayed out.

Any ideas on why they are not showing up?

    Thanks.

What version of FCP are you using? I am on 6.0.5 and I am only able to have 5 window layouts with shortcuts of Control/Shift 6, 7, 8, 9 & 0. Any additional window layouts saved after those numbers are filled up are pushed down the line and not accessible thru those shortcuts. Looks like Chaz & Hezys pushed your layouts off the shortcut list.

    hope that helps,

    Sorry forgot to mention that.

    I’m 5.0.6 also and 4 of my 5 workstations don’t show those Control/Shift 6, 7, 8, 9 & 0.

    I only see.

    My 5th station shows…

2 of my systems are Intel Octocore and 3 or them are Power PC quad core, all of them have 8GB of Ram.

Interestingly the 1 system that shows the layouts is an Intel, but my system is the other Intel and it has the problem.

[Victor Perez] “Looks like Chaz & Hezys pushed your layouts off the shortcut list.”

No mine is not pushed out on that system it is Control/Shift 9, but there are no shortcuts listed on the other systems.?

    Thanks again.

In order to use the 2 Custom Layouts you need to save a specific window layout to them.
In order to do that you need to first hold down OPTION then go to WINDOW / ARRANGE and you will see the 2 options now selectable. This will allow you to set one of the 2 main options.

    good luck

That is great and I will set it up on Monday, but I’m still confused as to what happened to the other shortcuts.

Any answers from anyone would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
